galleryKUKURI is a small gallery born from a simple wish — to be a place that connects art, people and community.
The name "KUKURI" comes from the Japanese word for tying things together: the maker and the wearer, the artwork and everyday life, the local and the expressive.
What we offer
We carry handmade works born from the maker's own hands — paintings, accessories, leather craft, and more. Our main fields: paintings, straps, accessories, leather craft, and paper goods such as letter sets, clear files and postcards, and art workshops. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind or made in small batches. Once a work is sold it is not restocked. “I'm looking for a piece like this…” — we are always happy to hear what you have in mind.

Buying online
Some of the pieces we carry in the gallery are also available through our online shop. Photographic works are made to order: each piece is printed, framed and signed after your order and payment are confirmed. Each size is a limited edition, and once an edition sells out the work is not reissued. Paintings are one-of-a-kind; once sold, they are not restocked. Shipping: within Japan only (Japan Post). We do not currently ship overseas. Shipping cost: calculated automatically at checkout according to the destination and packed size, and charged to the customer. Payment: credit card (Stripe) or bank transfer (prepayment within 7 days after ordering). Packing: each work is packed to suit its characteristics.
The gallery opened in March 2025. From the start we have held solo and group exhibitions and, with approachable pricing, offered makers the chance to experience showing their work. At present, exhibitions are temporarily on hold and we focus on consignment sales and art workshops.
